my role in the space
Growing up in multilingual east LA county, my creative writing and dance practices helped me enter into communicative portals with the worlds around me.
Today, that passion drives my leadership of projects and organizations advancing the public arts and humanities. I’ve raised 18 million+ dollars and worked with artists, activists, scholars, and cultural icons like Common, Shepard Fairey, Rosario Dawson, and Eva Longoria. I’ve worked with community organizers, MacArthur Genius award winners, Creative Capital grantees, and the everyday heroes and changemakers who use their mediums to witness the depths, beauty, and richness of the human experience.
Whether it’s a neighborhood theater or a multi-million dollar media project for the U.S. Department of State, my work has one thing in common: it helps us see each other.
Strategic Partnerships
I design the partnerships that give your project the reach and impact it deserves. I work with and between boards of directors, staff and leadership, and philanthropies, school districts, community groups, and others to reach a truly wide, cross-sectional audience.
Grantwriting
I craft letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and grant reports that reflect the strategic vision of the folks I collaborate with. To date, I’ve connected an 18 million dollar portfolio to the innovative projects that uplift, inspire, and empower. My full track record is at the bottom of this page.
Strategic Communications
I write press releases, newsletters, articles, web copy, ad copy, annual reports and more. I can tailor my style for a variety of stakeholders.
